Hydrogen reformer tubes are core equipment used in the steam reforming process, converting hydrocarbons (such as natural gas) into hydrogen and synthesis gas through high-temperature catalytic reactions. They are widely used in hydrogen production, ammonia synthesis, methanol and olefin manufacturing, and other fields.
The tubes are internally packed with nickel-based catalysts and externally manufactured from high-temperature resistant alloy steels (such as HP-40Nb, HK40, etc.), offering excellent high-temperature creep strength and corrosion resistance.
Structurally, reformer tubes are available in two configurations: cold wall and hot wall. Cold wall header pipes are more widely adopted due to their higher heat dissipation efficiency.
